According to The Independent, Rio Ferdinand is starting to see the end of his professional football career. His contract with Manchester United is set to expire at the end of the season and given the fact that he is not regularly featured in the starting lineup anymore, he can decide to retire at the end of the season.
Ferdinand will act as “an expert” for the BBC during the Brazil World Cup in the summer. He has already done some “expert” work for BT Sport and will most likely remain in the profession after the retirement.
