The Manchester Derby is usually one of the most anticipated fixtures in football, and this year is no different. At this point of the season, the top of the league is usually tightly contested with only a couple of points separating teams. It’s also at this point where it becomes clear whether certain Premier League predictions are accurate. However Manchester City’s start to the season means that they are already 8 point clear. A victory in the derby means they will go 11 points clear of United and also break the Premier League winning streak record.Continue Reading
Not too long ago, Xavi Hernandez ended his relationship with Barcelona which spanned for over 15 years as the Spanish midfielder joined the Qatari club Al Sadd on 2015.
For some time now, it has been rumored and believed that Andres Iniesta would follow the footsteps of Xavi Hernandez and also join Al Sadd or another club overseas but Andres Iniesta has denied all those claims as he has recently unveiled his intentions to retire in Camp Nou.
Andres Iniesta is 33 years old and he has a contract with Barcelona which extends until June of 2018. From the looks of it, Iniesta not only wants to completely fulfill what his contract has stated but maybe even go beyond that as the 2010 FIFA World Cup winner wants to continue playing at a high level for a few more years.
¨I have always said I would like to retire at Barcelona. It is the club I have been at since I was 12. I still have years left to play at the highest level so it is too early to decide my future, but Barcelona is where I want to be and hope to be for a long time¨ Barcelona´s Andres Iniesta said.
Even though Andres Iniesta himself has revealed his desire to continue with Barcelona, ultimately the decision of whether or not he gets to perform is up to the decision of the recently selected manager Ernesto Valverde.
Age is an important factor to take into consideration when it comes to keeping hold of a player or letting them go and considering that Andres Iniesta is 33 years old, he is very likely entering the final stages of his professional career.Continue Reading
The kit man of any football club has a tedious task on their hand – whether it’s from the Premier League or Sunday League. Anyone who has played in the latter knows how costly and time consuming it can be.
But have you ever taken the time to think of the potential costs over the course of a full season? The below graphic is based on 15 full kits cost £15 per wash, over the course of a 38-game season in the Premier League.
The below infographic, put together by Paddy Power football bets has some staggering fees for each team over the course of a single campaign.
For example, Sunderland come out at a staggering £56,430 after David Moyes used a large number of players and rotation to his side’s disappointing campaign that saw them finish bottom of the league to play Championship football next season.
On the other hand, Antonio Conte didn’t rotate his title-winning Chelsea squad greatly at all and may have saved his side up to £15,000 in washing bills compared to the Black Cats.
The numbers for the FA Cup are astronomical. With so many teams entering in the early qualifying rounds, it greatly expands the fees. If 14 players had been used by each club in this past season’s competition then it would have cost the kitman more than half a million to get them all clean again.
Of course, the riches of the Premier League means each of the 20 clubs do not actually have to worry about washing their kits as a new one can be used for every game, and the worn kits donated or sold for charity.
The below graphic has all the data and much more:

Professional soccer is incredible: the field of players is intense, with each player doing his best to help score as many goals as possible. There is a lot of back and forth, making it a great game to bet on. But while you’re trying to keep up with soccer, might we make a suggestion? Relax. Let your mind go on an adventure to something completely different. You’ll come back with different perspective. This is especially important for handicappers that tend to grind numbers all day. Why not go to Wyrmspel.com and look at all of the different slots available to you?
The classic slot machine has gone through a lot of changes over the years. Many people find that the new changes are great but they still get a craving for the old “fruit machine” style slot games. Pulling a lever and seeing the symbols go wild is definitely something to see, for sure. But if you’re looking at playing slots, it’s good to look into where you want to focus first. Some people estimate that there are well over 30,000 different slot games out there. That’s a lot of games!
The site we recommended has a great number of slots, but not so many that you would get lost. We find that it’s nice to look up a game, see if we can find features that we like, then go and play it. Having the right information at hand can help you weed out the slot games that aren’t going to let you have as good of a time as you want.
One feature that we recommend looking for would be 243 Ways to Win. This means that there really aren’t “paylines”, as every single direction becomes a way to win. This can turn a basic slot into a very lucrative one, but only if it actually involves the feature. The other benefit of the 243 “line” slot games is that they usually have big coin payouts. Some of these games feature 20,000, 30,000 or even some as high as a 500,000 coin payout. That’s a big prize on the table if you’re willing to take action to get it.
That’s right, we’re calling you out: you have to go and check out Wyrmspel.com for yourself. See what slots they’re talking about and then find out more information about them. That’s a great path to success, if we do say so ourselves!
Can Angel Di Maria come to haunt his former teammates this Wednesday when Paris Saint-Germain host 10 time European Cup winners Real Madrid? Both teams have started their Champions League campaigns impressively as they both defeated Malmo FF and FC Shakhtar Donetsk scoring 11 goals between them in the process. Despite Di Maria making his return against his former team he has vowed ‘not to celebrate’ if he scores this Wednesday against Los Blancos.
Whilst Di Maria will play for PSG, Bale will miss out for Real Madrid – a significant blow for manager Rafa Benitez who has other injury worries including James Rodriguez, Dani Carvajal and Sergio Ramos. Bale was substituted off at half-time last weekend as Real Madrid defeated Levante 3-0, putting them in good stead for this contest. The injury is to the calf which is a problem Gareth Bale has had to deal with previously. In Real Madrid’s first European game against Shakhtar, Bale suffered a similar injury which has been aggravated more whilst on international duty with Wales.
Real Madrid will have to worry about Sweden’s iconic striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic as he fired 2 home this weekend against Bastia in Ligue 1. This comes after Zlatan recently broke the PSG all-time goal scorer record, which will certainly give him confidence. PSG will have their own worries though as Cristiano Ronaldo visits the Parc Des Princes in scintillating form and full of confidence after breaking the Real Madrid all-time scorer record, just as Ibrahimovic did for PSG.
PSG are in very good form winning their 5 last matches whilst tallying a total of 14 goals in that time, conceding only 2. Paris Saint-Germain’s home record remains untouched in the league, having won 3 and drawn 1 so far – firing them to the top of Ligue 1, 5 points clear.
In contrast Real Madrid are also unbeaten in their last 5 matches although they have only managed to win 3 whilst drawing 2, with a 1-1 draw coming against city rivals Atletico Madrid.Continue Reading
